If you’ve ever wanted to be an entrepreneur, now would be the time to get started. Today’s technology allows us to turn an idea into a business quickly, affordably and efficiently. That’s the good news. The other side of the coin is that technology is constantly changing and online retail is a very noisy space. You need to know how to stand out and where to find the best financial tools to make your #SmBiz run smoothly.
While many entrepreneurs may not be completely tech savvy, we do need to have a basic understanding of the foundational financial technology resources that make a small business successful.
I’m thrilled to be attending the #Money2020 conference with Capital One. I’m a longtime fan of Capital One’s Spark Business IQ website, as a resource for both inspiration and up to the minute #SmBiz industry news.
#Money2020 is the largest #FinTech (Financial Technology) conference in the world and is “focused on payments and financial services innovation for commerce at the intersection of mobile, retail, marketing services, data and technology. #Money2020 is critical to realizing the vision of disruptive ways in which consumers and businesses manage, spend and borrow money.”
The #FinTech sector is moving at the speed of light and there are lots of players in the space. New emerging innovators and some forward thinking established corporations like Capital One are offering a wide range of solutions to address the unique challenges of business owners. I’m excited to learn more about all the issues that are top of mind for #SmBiz entrepreneurs; safe payment systems, omni-channel retail, mobile wallet options, new chip technology, the ‘buy’ button, online lending, eGifting and so much more.
I’m going to attend a variety of panels, seminars, keynotes and demos at #Money2020 and will share everything I learn so you don’t have to leave the office!
I will bring you the information about innovations, tech hacks and best practices for #FinTech solutions from the four full days of industry thought leaders sharing their insights.
You can also tune in live (via ForaTV) on Wed. Oct. 28th at 10AM PT when Capital One will host its second ‘CapX Talk’ livestreamed from Capital One’s booth on the #Money 2020 exhibit floor. Leaders from Capital One, MasterCard, TechCrunch, BitPay and Level Money will come together to discuss the most exciting tools and technologies at the conference as well as the impact they can have on small business growth.
During the livestream, anyone can participate in the discussion via Fora.tv or follow the conversation on Twitter utilizing hashtag #CapXTalk. You can watch the live stream without registering, but in order to submit a question you need to register. You can also follow me on Twitter for updates during the show and please follow @CaptialOneSpark too. If you have any specific #FinTech questions, please tweet us and I will get them answered.
#FinTech is one of the most exciting business sectors right now and I can’t wait to get immersed in the industry and learn from the insiders and experts. I look forward to connecting online (Oct. 25-28th) and sharing all of the golden nuggets that I pick up at #Money2020.
